The Give Some EP is a collaboration between veteran Scottish producer Panooc and NYC (now London) based D.D. Curry, two solo artists who originally met in the Brooklyn underground scene. Early on during the lockdowns, the friends began collaborating remotely as a way to find creative release and stay in touch. They arrived upon a bass-driven, nostalgic house sound that could transport them back to the club but also help them process the melancholy of isolation. What has resulted are three original tracks that are simultaneously bouncy yet introspective, along with a funky remix by emerging NYC artist Devoye.

The EP has already earned plays from Logic1000 in her Mixmag Cover Mix, Nikki Nair on Rinse.FM, Ben Gomori on his Turned On podcast, Hiatt dB on Balamii Radio, and Montel on his monthly mix series.

"Empathetic dance music" is a phrase that I hadn't heard before D.D. Curry mentioned it in relation to this EP, but I have to say... if it exists, this is it. Clearly the result of lots of care and love in the studio, and you can feel D.D.'s kind soul emanating from every beat. quantreau
